Our riff on the Piedmontaise classic dish of sliced, cold roasted veal with a piquant creamy tuna sauce. This is a delightful summertime dish as a light lunch to share between two people or as a substantial main course for one. It’s is served with some choice salad leaves from Keats Organic’s and some plump Selina capers. The tonnato dressing, salad and selina capers are served separately to the veal and can be easily assembled in a few minutes at home.
Ingredients & Allergens
INGREDIENTS: Veal, Tuna, Butter (Milk), Garlic, Anchovies, Mustard, Olive Oil, Sunflower Oil, Merlot Vinegar (Sulphur), Capers, Egg Yolk. ALLERGENS IN BOLD.
Cooking & Reheating
To assemble the dish, lay the slices of veal on a plate and pour the tonnato dressing generously over the meat. Place the salad and capers in a bowl and dress with a squeeze of lemon juice, some olive oil and a little salt and pepper.
Place the dressed salad on top of the veal and tonnato dressing.
