Sylvie Augereau, Pulpes 2018
Sylvie Augereau is a heroine of natural wine, having written about the subject for decades – eventually founding La Dive Bouteille in 2001.
The 1⁄2 ha is planted with 100-year-old Chenin. The soil is sandy with flecks of red caused by the presence of a little iron on the hill. The ground is strewn with large white shells. The fruit is hand-harvested and pressed directly into a mix of large old barrels and stainless steel tanks. Then combined and aged for 2 years in large old barrels. Compared to the 2017 vintage, this has a little less acid, but the minerality is still a beautiful part of the wine and the classic Chenin profile is stunning.
We offer same day and next day delivery service Monday to Sunday. Same day delivery is available with orders received before 3pm. Next day delivery available with the option of morning or evening time slots.
We also offer an overnight courier service to England, Wales and Scotland (except Hebrides & Islands) three times a week with deliveries scheduled every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Cut off is 48 hours before.
